Pricing FAQ
Is it really free?
Yes. PassTheUKTest is in launch mode and every feature is unlocked at no cost. We'll add paid plans later, but anyone who signs up before then keeps free access — that's the deal.
Why will you charge later?
Running infrastructure, expanding the question bank, and adding features like audio narration costs money. Once we have the audience to support it, we'll introduce subscriptions for ongoing development.
Will the test format change?
No. The Life in the UK Test format is set by the Home Office (24 questions, 45 minutes, 75% pass mark) and changes only when government policy changes. We follow the official handbook exactly.
Is this affiliated with the UK Home Office?
No. PassTheUKTest is an independent study aid. The official Life in the UK Test is operated by the Home Office and booked via gov.uk for £50 per attempt.
How is this different from the official handbook?
The official handbook ('Life in the UK: A Guide for New Residents') is the source material. Our questions are modelled on it, with detailed explanations referencing the handbook chapters. We recommend studying the official book alongside our practice tests.
